It is a view across a gorgeous green, lush lawn and points at two buildings (civic center?) and a large parking lot....There is a road running between the lawn and the buildings/parking area. I have never seen traffic on this road, only a runner (once). Cars leaving the parking area always take a right turn and disappear...
Wish that was my lawn and view...looks so peaceful and quiet.

View is from web cam on the site administrator's house (Chris). Road is a block long side street so very little traffic. Building in background is church with it's adjoining parking lot. Everyone leaving the parking would make a right turn to the main road - good observation! Chris, that lawn looks too good for the dry season. Been spraying it with the Miracle Gro paint again?

Actually, during our last big rain event, I timed my fertilization perfectly and blasted Lesco Professional turf fertilizer (28-10-12) about an hour before the rain came down. Once the fertilizer started to work I let the lawn grow fairly high to help retain the moisture and not allow the soil to dry out. I see to many floratam lawns that are cut to low during dry season which causes them to dry and burn up. Thanks for the compliments on the lawn and you may catch me on the mower soon...it's getting a little high right now! _________________ Chris

Way to many words to say "I fertilized it"

Thank you Bob and Chris...not only for the assistance but for the fantastic webcam. Chris, your lawn is beautiful and so is your view and location!!! What is the name of the church acoss the way?
I quess people named Chris enjoy similar sights...and work to keep it that way.
You have a much better growing season there than I do in New England but I care about my lawn too.
Don't let it get too long or it will have those creepy crawlee things in it!!! I have a Floridian firefighter nephew who once told me that "everything in Florida is trying to bite you". After spending time on Pine Island, I now believe him. I don't want to pull biting ants out of little dog toes again!!!
Also, we have rattlesnakes on Pine Island! Have you guys run into any of those bitey things where you are?

To be honest, I don't even know what the name of the church is. It has been sold three times in the past year and has taken on several different names which I can't remember. It was just recently bought and I'm hoping the new owner will last longer than the rest of them. _________________ Chris
