POLK COUNTY, FL - LAKELAND
LIGHTNING *** 1 FATAL - 28 INJURED *** 29 PERSONS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING AT 4215 VIOLA ROAD IN LAKELAND DURING A CHURCH PICNIC AND SOCCER GAME. EXTENT OF INJURIES IS STILL UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME BUT SEVERAL WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL.
