People walk in a street damaged by heavy rains in Verapaz, about 71 km (44 miles) east to San Salvador November 8, 2009. Hurricane Ida roared into the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, where important oil fields are located, after killing 91 people and leaving at least another 60 missing in floods and mudslides in El Salvador. Ida swept past the Mexican resort of Cancun, doing little damage to the city, and is expected to weaken gradually on Monday as it heads toward some of the oil and gas production facilities in the central Gulf, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. A man walks along a beach eroded from large waves after Hurricane Ida passed nearby in Cancun, Mexico, Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. Ida has grew into a hurricane Sunday for a second time as it roared over the Caribbean on a path that could take it between Cuba and Mexico's resort-studded Yucatan Peninsula before heading for the southern United States.
