Lou, I was browsing around your site and found that animation and appreciate you posting that on the forums. Once the speed reached 140mph and the roof of the house went flying off it kind of got me thinking about Charley. I thought to myself, "If Charley had a direct impact on Cape Coral would that of happened to some homes here since wind speeds were 140mph?". Makes you think and wonder. _________________ Chris

No doubt about that Chris. The Cape would have looked like Punta Gorda. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only. Please refer to the National Hurricane Center for official information.
Definitely agree, I do work up in Punta Gorda and the first time I drove through there after Charley it was like a bomb went off. I'm sure you've seen this vid but imagine this being Cape Coral Parkway or even Del Prado.
Yes, I have the DVD. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only. Please refer to the National Hurricane Center for official information.
That is one crazy guy. I think he even mentioned that Hurricane Charley put him in more fear than any other storm he had been through because of the circumstances and the building he was in. From what I read it was not structurally sound. A lot of those building have been there for years so I can see why. He's lucky to still be alive. _________________ Chris
