Good setup but probably moves inland before it can really crank..........TD is good possibility but minimal TS is the extreme with this puppy. But like I said last week, good soaker for the peninsula. On a whitewater rafting trip for next several days...........Hold the fort down Lou _________________ No...I am not a tropical forecaster....But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once

I'm still not seeing the big deal with this system and do not see it impacting SW Florida past tomorrow. Just a very hot weekend with scattered evening storms moving toward the coast for a change.

As I mentioned yesterday it all would depend on where the front is sitting that will determine how much rain we get. So close but yet so far. Take a look.

Yup. I see we got over an inch and a half both in Port Charlotte and North Port and not a drop at the house here in the Cape. We are really entering a dry spell now as there will be an awful lot of subsidence above us throughout the weekend. We could get lucky with a renegade convergence storm moving toward the coast, but other than that, probably just lots of hot sunshine.

There is still a 1012 MB Low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico to keep an eye on yet.

This never had any chance with the dry air to the south. I never understood all the attention this received. I understand stalled fronts are a harbinger for "home grown" rotations, particularly in August, but you CANNOT have dry air to the south and expect development of any circulation. Just my opinion.
