El Sluggo is near the loop current which won't be affected as it is constantly replenished from the Carib. Also it takes a good size storm to cause upwelling that would cause the SST's to drop and that would be only temporary. _________________ Lou

well looks liek i may get a ts. Oh well texas certainly dersves its fair share of cane and tses this year it should also wake everybody up a bit here get em ready for a psbl landfall in two weeks of depression four, provided it ends up in texas.

SATELLITE IMAGES AND SURFACE DATA INDICATE THAT THE AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO IS GRADUALLY BECOMING
BETTER ORGANIZED AND A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD BE FORMING. A
RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT IS SCHEDULED TO CHECK THE AREA THIS
AFTERNOON. THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE TOWARD THE
WEST-NORTHWEST OR NORTHWEST AT 10 TO 15 MPH. ALL INTERESTS IN THE
NORTHWESTERN GULF OF MEXICO...INCLUDING THE SOUTHERN TEXAS AND
