The only thing that is going to save S. Texas from having a sizable storm at this point is that El Sluggo is chugging along pretty good now and although he may slow a bit as he approaches the coast, he will run out of real estate before he can get too strong. I'm still thinking my original 50 to maybe 60 mph wind gusts will verify not too far from Brownsville. The storm will then continue West thru TX and into the desert. _________________ No...I am not a tropical forecaster....But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once

Houston/ Galveston should escape the brunt of the rainfall whereas Corpus to San Antonio will get copious amounts _________________ No...I am not a tropical forecaster....But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once

The wave I have been following (it seems like forever now).....I have affectionately named it sluggo.......is now consolidating with energy from the wave catching it from the NE. It is looking better this morning between Cuba and the N. tip of the Yucatan. I am still bullish this will be a named storm in the Western Gulf affecting NE Mexico and/or extreme S. TX later in the week.
Guess El Sluggo didnt let you down. Good job, thats why i come here.
