I have looked at a an area of disturbed weather a couple of times in the tropical Central Atlantic since last night. It is still holding together and looks a little larger this afternoon as it moves westward. Any model talk on this yet? Could be nothing, but since we are getting into storm season "prime time", I thought I would ask. Thanks, Jim

Jim, I'm going to assume your talking about the disturbance at 11N & 35W. I expect that to become the next Invest. It's holding together well and has a mid level circulation per QuiKScat satellite pass. It's approaching warmer SST's and shear is quite low. A track similar to Dean at the early stages is likely but this system will be gaining more latitude and should pass closer to Puerto Rico. Beyond that it's way too early to even guess. It doesn't have much model support but that's not surprising at this stage. _________________ LOU

Dont know if that is what he is speaking about, but I am thinking by tomorrow this will be 94l, looks to be holding convection nicely, cant tell if there is a llc or not. _________________ GO NOLES

It is not posted yet, but certainly looks like an invest this morning. Some nice turning. Must have had a good diurnal max, see if it can hold its convection throughout the day. _________________ GO NOLES

It's beginning to get some model support as the GFS and CMC now see it. They place it near the central to northern Windward Islands later this week. _________________ LOU
