I received an e-mail on this today as a storm spotter...but it is open to the public...

I really enjoyed the tour and conversation with the various individuals there. I actually got to put a face to one of the forecasters for the NHC.
Also, last summer one of the advanced members in this forum posted a very detailed article about a Hugo flight and how they almost didn't make it out. The plane at Page field was that plane -according to one of the hurricane hunters. He showed me a dent in the grab rail that was damaged during that unbelievable mission.
Another cool thing was the names of all of the storms through which missions were flown by that planenear the door. (some had the storm symbol displayed in the opposite direction denoting missions flown through southern hemisphere storms.

Below is the post on the hurricane Hugo flight. I wish I could have attended but had appointments that I had to be at. Hopefully they come back next year so I can take the tour and am glad some of you made it to talk about it on the forum. Thanks for the info.
