The ghost will make a comeback near Cuba. I'm looking at the blob near the north coast of Haiti. However, I defer to Lou's post on the Gulf TC by Oct 1st. I'm just not sure where it's going to really kick up. It's possible that we may have a TC in the SW Bahamas or even just south of Cuba, by early next week. At least this seems to be the consensus of the all the models I'm able to look at...

What I see from the models is something kicking up off the Florida east coast - SW Bahamas up to Grand Bahama Island. And not by October 1st but by October 3rd. I am basing this on the NOGAP model which shows this scenerio out 144 hrs . If that plays out we stay high and dry.

Just checked long range forcasts - POP bumped up from 20-30 % on October 1st to 50-60% from October 2nd thru 4th. So maybe CC is on to something just a day or two late!

Still too much shear in these areas for development anytime soon. I'd love to see it, but it just isn't going to come together regardless of what POPs the NWS is posting.
