Yes, I see that too. I have no doubt this system wil grow at least into a depression once it hits the extremely warm Gulfstream waters (even thought shear out there is still over 20 knots) and you folks in SE Florida will get some impressive rainfall totals. Just nothing much for us on the dry side aside from this afternoon's renegade convective storms.

Yes, I was asking the same question yesterday. I'm not seeing this shear relax for a few more days. Lou seems to feel it won't stop this system from growing. I don't know. I just don't hold much hope for significant rainfall here in SW Florida from this. We should benefit from the ESE flow this afternoon and evening with some storms plowing through, but I'm thinking we will be otherwise "missed" by much of what this system has to offer over the next few days as it flies by to our east.
My goodness. Today is September 26. Yesterday I said I'm looking for a TC in the southeast gulf on Oct 1. My thinking has not changed. This Invest popped along the stalled trough and when it pulls out the trough will still be there and later on this week the remains of 97L will arrive as I mentioned yesterday. The current shear has nothing to do with what happens 5 days from now. _________________ LOU

Sorry. You had just referenced the models developing this low, so I've been thinking you're bullish on this one. That's why I asked the original question... I just didn't see this doing that much. I still see too much shear on October 1st, but I'd love to be wrong and see a nice soaking system here.
