While running the risk of being told that I'm posting on the wrong blog while I'm sleepwalking, I'd like y'all to consider the obvious emerging circulation north of Puerto Rico. Could this be considered a "merge" of 92L and Karen? More importantly, where will this one go? The GFS is supporting some kind of low east of Florida (not 92L). It will probably move west for a while but will then most likely stall and then move out to sea as it is influenced by the cutoff low that will form over the eastern states.

Wow! Just checked that area and it's quite impressive. The NHC says upper low and a surface trough. Real nice circulation evident with the convection. These usually take some time to work down to the surface but it appears to be in a hurry to do so. Will likely be an Invest. Yes Manuel, it seems to be a combination of some of the convection that was displaced to the east from 92L and has a little bit of Karen in it as well. The rest of 92L is approaching the northwest Caribbean. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only. Please refer to the National Hurricane Center for official information.

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
SATELLITE IMAGES AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THAT THE AREA OF
DISTURBED WEATHER...ASSOCIATED WITH A SURFACE TROUGH AND
UPPER-LEVEL LOW...CENTERED ABOUT 100 MILES NORTH OF PUERTO RICO HAS
BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED DURING THE DAY. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE
FORECAST TO BECOME MORE FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT...AND SOME
FURTHER ORGANIZATION OF THIS SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only. Please refer to the National Hurricane Center for official information.
