The NHC has initiated Invest 91L for the area of disturbed weather associated with a tropical wave that is approaching the southern Windward Islands. Winds 25 kts, pressure 1012 mb. Location 9N/57W. All indications are that this tiny system will move ashore into the South American coastline and not enter the Caribbean. The conditions in the Caribbean would be too hostile for this to develop as the shear values are very high. I don't expect this Invest to be around very long. I'm much more interested in the larger wave to the east which could become the next Invest. For what it's worth....here's the model run on 91L.
