I noticed the graphical tropical outlook had this pegged. Development seems minimal at this point but I thought I'd mention it.

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
A WESTWARD-MOVING TROPICAL WAVE IS JUST EAST OF THE WINDWARD
ISLANDS. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE FORECAST TO REMAIN UNFAVORABLE FOR
TROPICAL CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT. HOWEVER...THIS SYSTEM COULD PRODUCE
SHOWERS...THUNDERSTORMS...AND GUSTY WINDS OVER PORTIONS OF THE
WINDWARD ISLANDS TONIGHT AND SATURDAY.
TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

The southern portion of the wave will run into South America and the northern portion will enter the Caribbean where high wind shear will keep it from developing. Once in the western Caribbean the wave 'may' have a better environment with less shear. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only.
