As of yesterday, we are now generating our own tide charts. The tides are created using wxTide32 which generates a graph and 7-day text output followed by an upload to our main host server. The graph and the images are embedded into our site which means you no longer need to use the previous links. The old links are still available to use for each tide station directly under the graph. They are labeled as the "Tide Chart Calculator". I have done a thorough comparison between wxtide32, tidecharts.net and Bluechart Tides (Garmin Software that I use) and all times, high/low tides, slopes and dates are identical. I plan on putting all the tide graphs on one page in the near future so users can run a tide comparison between stations without having to click back and forth between pages. I found it very interesting how there can be such a huge tide difference just a few miles away and this will allow users to see the 'big picture' a little easier. Below is a full listing of the current tides we have for SW Florida. We have had a lot of feedback from Collier and Charlotte counties and may decide to implement their tide stations in the future on our site. A BIG thanks goes out to Larry at Anole Computer Services in St. James City for sharing this valuable information with me. He was kind enough to send me over a few example files to get the process started and I appreciate that. You can visit his website at this url.

Kudos to you for the great local customized tide charts. Just another great addition to an already awesome site.

Also, the new wave height addition is impressive.

Now don't go telling anybody about that. Laughing Those are special tarpon tides that have been mathematically calculated using a secret equation handed down to me from my ancestors. Laughing Glad you guys like em'.

Hi Chris,

I just found the new tide charts and they are really great. The locations are very useful. Keep up the great work. I used to use Wunderground for my weather info but the Cape Coral site is SW Florida focused and much more user friendly. It works great on my wife's iTouch as well.Laughing David

Hi David,
Thank you for the feedback on the tides and I'm glad the mobile/iphone appears ok. I was actually thinking of creating a page for cell phones to make it a little easier to scroll through but I guess I don't need to. Very Happy I might add one in the future so keep an eye out for it. Take care and enjoy.

Regards,
Chris
