Looks rather impressive! On the apparent track, it'll just past over the extreme NE of Yucatan. Could we see a CAT 3 in the Gulf?
We could. It's all a question of how much land it has to cross over and how long it takes to do so. Once in the gulf it also becomes a question of how much time it has. The potential exists for a major Hurricane in the western gulf. I have no doubt about that. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only. Notice that on the IR, the central dense overcast keeps migrating NNW. Will the center miss Yucatan?
It's going to be real close. The current LLC may not be the same one we wake up to tomorrow morning. The latest info from recon is a mixed bag of where the exact center is and seems to imply that a new center could be forming under the deepest convection. Might have a northward adjustment of the center with a model swing a little to the right. Dolly is very unstable right now and that makes for a real tricky forecast. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only. Oil prices are not predicated on the operations of refineries. I don't think you understand how this process works. We currently derive less than 8 percent of our oil from this region. The President's calling out of the liberal congress on future drilling... now THAT caused prices to plummet immediately.
