We may be looking at a nice lightning display over the Gulf tonight. The stronger ESE flow should direct cells that are smaller in size, but very electrical, into the Gulf later this evening. Because of the slightly drier air aloft, these storms shouldn't form until very late afternoon and the increased heat should allow them to stay together until they reach the Gulf.

The desert SW strikes again! I wouldve bet anything that the cell that just moved in would have atleast gave us a quarter inch of rain. It did the ol' 7 10 SW SPLIT! _________________ Chris

Not so here in Mid-Cape! The t-storm maker over the river is working overtime right now. We're about half way between Del Prado and the river, 2 miles North of the Mid-Point bridge. I'll send it your way.

We need it Marty! Shove it or nudge it to the south a little. I can hear all the thunder up your way. _________________ Chris

Sandy the AMAZING weather dog (Jack Russel terrier) is predicting a tornado in the Cape tonite. Figured I would post this as a test to see if her behavior is correct.

That's absolutely crazy. I'm at 1.77 inches and still counting from this cell. I'm off Pine Island Road near Skyline. Nothing at the airport and nothing at the home base, but I'm probably going to top the 2-inch mark here. I've taken a 7-inch lead in the self-declared yearly "race" as well. Chris was ahead just 6 weeks ago.
