ALREADY they are talking about fronts penetrating the penninsula and it's only August. The latest forecast here in Tampa show the front coming through and hanging up near Port Charlotte or so. A taste of Winter in Augsut is not needed.

The boundary, although a weak one, should create a lot of lifting in your area... an excellent chance at some longer-lasting thunderstorms from the Nature Coast down to Sarasota.

I hope the pattern of us getting these early fronts takes a break quickly. With the tropics getting ready to significantly increase activity, we don't need one of those fronts coming in when a system gets into the gulf. Otherwise, it's Hello SW Florida the likes of Charley or Wilma (hopefully weaker (if we have to get a system)-probably wishful thinking though with SSTs as they are this time of year).
