The NHC 72 hour surface map has 4 tropical waves and they have added a LOW to the wave near the Cape Verde Islands. Both the Euro and GFS want to spin up the LOW and take it west to near the Windward Islands. The NOGAPS and CMC are also sniffing at it. The GFS also likes the system over Africa that will move off the coast in 48 hours.

My family and I will be heading south in 2 weeks for a week vac. I am wondering if anyone sees anything around that time for the Navarre Beach area. Thanks

Most likely not. Tropics should be more active in a couple of weeks but the odds of anything developing and hitting a specific location are slim at best.
Case in point our Hurricane Charley in 2004. Charley had been forecast to head for the Tampa area just 4 hrs or so before it made an unexpected turn to the east and hit Punta Gorda/ Port Charlotte. Each storm has it's own personality. Been here in Cape Coral for 30 yrs and each storm is different. So come on down and enjoy all Florida has to offer! And if something pokes it's nose over the horizon, pay attention to local broadcasts and warnings and do as you are told.
