The NHC finally decided to report the wave that you are talking about. From the satellite imagery, it looks well developed.

Yeah......................another opportunity to look foolish trying to figure out yet another tropical system. Early bet is this goes South of us into Yucatan and becomes another Western Gulf problem next week. Wild card is a second system forming East of Bahamas due to huge East Coast High early next week which would threaten East Coast from Fla Northward...............

Well it's thursday and while a new depression still has not been named in the Carribean, it's just a matter of time. The low level and mid level circulations have to get vertically stacked and this will quickly develop. Still feel it goes thru Yucatan into Gulf and threatens Texas by next Wednesday. Meanwhile, closer to the ranch, the other disturbance I was alluding to earlier in the week should also be developing later in the weekend (East of the Bahamas) and run the East Coast from the Carolinas to SNE also by Wednesday. Basically what I am counting on is 2 tropical systems possibly making landfall in the US during the Wednesday-Thursday timeframe.....pretty awesome if it occurs. This second storm should break the summer pattern and bring troffiness into the Eastern US and likely end the threat of landfalling hurricanes from the Atlantic for the season. we will then need to monitor the Gulf during the remainder of October for anything developing along dying early season cold fronts...........................
