I have a lot on a canal in the SW Cape. Brush has grown up near the water along with a few 12-15 ft pine trees. I don't have a seawall installled yet. I know I don't want to completely remove the vegetation and cause errosion of the bank but can I trim it down some so there is more of a view and the neighbors don't think it's a jungle lot. I wrote to the City weeks ago about this but I never got a response. Anyone know what's permitted?

I don't see a problem then if it's not mangroves. Mangroves are a big no no. But, to confirm, you may want to call the city of Cape Coral at their home office. I'd hate to give you advice and then you end up getting a ticket for removing the vegetation. Cape Coral has some strange laws and ordinances. _________________ Chris
