Recent post with 'restaurant review' flare got me thinking ... where are the best deals for good food in & around the Cape? Some we've found:
Tue night
- Bubba's for 2for1 fajitas - share it for $10.95 (huuge portion, plus The Best Screwdriver on the planet, juice is made fresh for every drink, also 2for1 pricing)
- Twisted Conch has crabs - blue crab for $1.50 a piece or stone crab claws for $2/each - you cannot buy them & cook them at home at these prices! They cook 'em, serve you & clean up the mess to boot! Wade thru em & waddle away.
Thu night
- Waterfront sells steamed clams for $.35. Get warmed up with clams then chow down on a combo basket of big fat fried shrimp & oysters for $14.95.
Sat night
- Waterfront has raw oysters for $6/dozen. They'll steam them too if you're not a raw seafood fan. Cold adult beverage & enjoy your seat in 'Anti-Sanibel'
Any night
- Red's appetizers are meals onto themselves. The Trifecta, nothing else like it - steamed mussels, clams & shrimp dumped hot & steamy from a beer pitcher for $10.95. Still hungry? Try Oysters Rockfeller for $10.95 - 6 oysters are done to perfection! Oh & then there's the rest of the 5 page menu!
- Cap'n Con's early special favorite - shrimp & flounder for $6.95. They know how to fry these exactly right & don't forget to leave room for pie!
Anyone else out there found any good cheap eats? We're still in search of a crabcake like we used to get on the Chesapeake - no filler please!

That's one of the great things about this area - if you can't find something good to eat - you're not looking!! They're opening new places all the time & some of the best are in places you'd never expect to find them!
