CSU has issued their 2012 forecast. Very low numbers across the board. Their forecast has the possibility of being a huge bust if the ECMWF's forecast of an impending El Nino is wrong or even delayed. While the MDR is showing cooler SST's, the areas west of 60W are running warmer. The Caribbean is already warm enough to sustain a TC and the Gulf is quickly catching up to the Caribbean. We may have another season of late bloomers that get their act together as they near and pass 60W. I also believe that if a El Nino does develop it will be too late into the season to matter. My numbers are 15, 8, 4.

Thanks Lou. Interesting they issued a low forecast for the season and that is definitely a good thing. My numbers will be 14, 6, 3. It's right around the corner....... _________________ Chris
