A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 550 NM SE OF THE CAPE VERDE
ISLANDS IS ALONG 17/18W S OF 15N. THE WAVE IS MOVING JUST N OF
DUE WEST NEAR 20 KT AND REMAINS WELL DEFINED FOR EARLY JUNE. A
PAIR OF SFC LOWS ACCOMPANY THE WAVE NEAR 13N17W AND 8N18W. THE
LATTER CIRCULATION IS CLEARLY THE FOCAL POINT. ALTHOUGH
CLIMATOLOGY IS NOT ON ITS SIDE...SOME SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF THIS
SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO BEFORE IT ENCOUNTERS
UNFAVORABLE UPPER-LEVEL WINDS AND COOLER WATER TEMPERATURES.
SCATTERED CLUSTERS OF MODERATE CONVECTION ARE FROM 3N-7N BETWEEN
18N-24N. ANOTHER CLUSTER OF MODERATE CONVECTION IS FROM 8N-11N
BETWEEN 19W-21W.

Invest 93L should not be around very long. The conditions in the east Atlantic are too hostile for development.

Agreed............We should be looking much closer to home at this juncture. The backing southwest of an upper low near the Yucatan is starting the ventilation process over the western Caribbean. A trof developing off the east coast makes the gulf a favorable area to watch later this week into the following week. This year is much different than last year. Areas of sinking air are falling apart coming across the Pacific, and the upward motion areas seem to be getting stronger as they reach the western atlantic basin. Gonna be storms or rumors of storms much of the next 4 months.................

By the way...........with a bakdoor cool front washing out over Northern Fl. the next several days, another location to look for possible tropical trouble would be just East of FL. Upper air steering would force anything to move out to sea however..............
