Great writeup. Here are some images I have showing the entire track and from NOAA before landfall. It was kind of freakish to have that storm roar right by us a few weeks after Charley. Also, follow the entire track on the image. It actually makes landfall twice in the Gulf but the second time was a depression over Texas. Wierdest thing I've ever seen.
