I was thinking this was going to drift more NW-ward and give South Texas yet another significant rainfall event. It may make landfall some 100 miles south of the border, but may drift into the Rio Grande valley and create some havoc in those regions.

Viewing the current synopsis, it definitely appears this system is destined to produce more excessive rainfall throughout much of South Texas, especially the Rio Grande valley. I think 2 to 4 inches may fall as far north as San Antonio and up to 5 inches in Laredo.

Yes, I don't consider your neck of the woods to be "South Texas". You guys can handle tons of rain because you're flatter. I just know from my experience living in the Texas Hill Country that a few inches of rain can cause major flooding issues. With this system being further north than originally projected, those areas are facing more problems.
