Guess what? a cutoff low stalled out over houston yesterday. It has a front stuck to the back of it thats also stalled. Even better the moisture from former 93l got sucked over houston. And low and behold a large line of supercell thunderstorms formed right over my subdivision leading into houston. It flooded in my subdivision. The main drainage dicth at the front of the subdivison clogged with leaves adn stopped draining and the flood gates we have there got stuck. We had 6 feet of water over our street and most of the rest of the streets on that side of the subdivision. The water came right up to my door and then right throguh it into my foer. So i have water damage this morning. People were trying to drive through it even the truck were stalling out. Eventually after the rain stopepd they set up an emergency managment center at the front of the subdivison and they pulled all the stalled out veichles up there. Soooo stupid to watch though people ignored turn around dont drown we even had to have a high water rescue cause they got stuck in it. Anyway total rainfall that i recorded was 9 inches in about 45 minutes noaas radar estimates confirm this. We still had some flooded out streets this morning while the muud tried to clear the blocked flood gates. Thats the other thing is people blow leaves into the storm drains and it causes these kinds of problems. Anyway they just now got it draining and lo and behold we got MORE RAIN coming. I give up I give up I give up I give up I give up I give up I give up I give up
I think i need to move. Anyway i got some great pics and video of the flood ill try and show you guys some.
