Have to watch for possible tropical development off the coastal area near Sarasota.
plus for development.
1-mid-level circulation off the coast.
2-building convection.
3-850 mb Vorticity is good.
4-Low level convergence is good.
5-upper level divergence is good.
6-water temps are ideal.
negative for development
1-needs to develop a low level circulation
2-needs time.
3-needs to pull a little further offshore. _________________ This post is for discussion purposes only. Please refer to the National Hurricane Center for official information.

Agreed.........This should be a TD by tomorrow afternoon/evening and even a minimal TS on Thurs. Will not have chance to get out of hand though before it moves inland over Panhandle _________________ No...I am not a tropical forecaster....But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once |

Yeah Lou.....I do. But it doesn't suck to sit by the pool when it's 80 with a dewpoint of 52 in July _________________ No...I am not a tropical forecaster....But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once |

While all three negative factors for development are still present this morning, it still needs to be watched just in case a center forms further west and south.

Bands of very heavy rain are approaching from the west and southwest. Rainfall rates will be very high and flooding is certain due to the already saturated soil.
