Care & maintenance
Mild soap & water will will clean your fish table in most cases. For stains or heavy wear areas you may need a mild solution of bleach & water. Most anglers install their fish filet tables in direct sunlight. This will help keep your table clean as well. Whether in direct sunlight or not, rinsing off your table after each use is the best way to keep your table clean.
What to look for in a fish table
When shopping for a fish cleaning table there are a few things to keep in mind. The top on a fish cleaning table is probably the most important part of the table. Starboard brand marine board is (in my opinion) the best choice for fresh or saltwater application. Over the years we have used them all, we always go back to Starboard for its durability & beauty in all weather conditions.
The second most important element of the table is what is holding it up on your dock. We use a single pedistal style base,others use 2 & 4 leg slyles.All are suitable for a fish cleaning table, however, the material used for the legs is very important. Aluminum or stainless steel are the most durable legs(or bases) for a fish table. We use aluminum, it seems to be the best bang for the buck.
