Chris

Run outside and check your new rain gauge. It's showing .77" of rain!

Your new bucket is probably one a very few in SW Fla. reporting rain today.

What a difference from your old, bird nest infested one! Very Happy

Drove down Cape Coral Pkwy. Street wet from Skyline to Chiquita ( 1mile ).

Not much coverage but still surprising only the most sw side of town got rain. Usual patern is for pm rain to arrive from the east (Ft Myers) and spread into the Cape. Most recent years the rain would diverge around the sw cape. This one early event may signal a return to our more normal pattern. We will know starting mid to late June when the rainy season kicks in.

Was really was strange. It actually came from the north to south. It was a blip on the radar but a heavy rain producer.

Guess what? Check radar. Pouring here at Santa Barbara and 43 rd Terr about 3 miles from your rain bucket. Very small shower zone but rain none the less.

I saw it on the time lapse. Seems to have burned out. These little showers are impressive!

Forgot to mention the rain rate peaked at 7.29 inches per hour during that storm yesterday. Cool
