Big Black Drum and Monster Sheepshead are in and hanging out near the Bridge bases, channel structure, piers and docks.
We've been landing Sheepshead up to 6 pounds on medium live shrimp wormed on #2 hooks attached to an 18" mono leader under a swivel with a half ounce egg sinker above. Throw it out on bottom...Tight Line, wait for the nibble or slight pull then set the hook and hang on. You'll swear you hooked a Volkswagen.
Fishing for Black Drum around the residential docks and bridges has been good too.
I've had some reel happy customers after a day of fishing for these fighters. Oh, I forgot to tell you, Those Sheepshead are tough to clean so only keep the really big ones cause there's not a lot of meat on them. Let the little ones go to grow. That will keep the FWC guys away too.
