We now have live lightning tracking on our site using Stormvue NGX software. All the data gets updated every 10 seconds and will display near real-time lightning on the map. You can zoom in/out on the map, change filters, run replays and even set an alarm based on your gps coords. For help using the interface just click on the ? mark on the bottom left after it loads. Live lightning tracking can be found on the left under the Lightning tab and is listed as "Live". Or just click below......

Tom,
Thanks! Yes, I had it live but it wasn't available online until last night. Can't wait to see it light up with a storm like last Friday night. By the way, cool vid! Very Happy

I have not been able to get the Live Lightning Tracker to work on my home computer in the last week or so. All I get is an error message. "ERROR (Press F5 To Reload)". Pressing "F5" has no effect. Could it be because I'm running Firefox as my browser?

I had some similar problems with another computer running IE, but after reloading the page a few times, it usually will come up OK.

Its a really neat application, and I found it very useful (I work outside) so I would really like to be able to find a way access it again.

Thanks, Cape Weather is the best weather site, hands down!

Marty

Hi Marty, thanks so much and glad you like the app! Let's try to troubleshoot and get you going again. If it were me, I would try these steps:

1) Make sure you are running the latest version of Flash from Adobe.

2) Try doing a refresh of the page by holding CRTL down and hitting F5.

3) Clear out your temp internet files (cache, cookies, internet files) and reload the page.

4) Test on a different browser on the same PC and clear out the cache, cookies, and internet files if necessary.

5) Test on a different PC on your network using different browsers.

By doing this it should help isolate the issue a little bit.

Good luck and let me know the results.

Well Chris,

I worked through your suggestions, and it appears to have been the Flash Player (which I thought was up to date). Well, I reinstalled Flash and its working again.

Thanks for the help!
